When we say ‘Personal Data’ we mean identifiable information about you, like your first and last name, phone number, email address and so on. If you can’t be identified (for example, when Personal Data has been aggregated and anonymized), then this Policy does not apply.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our App we may collect and process your Personal Data. The ways we collect it can be categorized into the following:

  • Information you provide to us directly. When you visit or use some parts of our App we might ask you to provide Personal Data to us. For example, we need your mobile phone number to set up your account.
  • Information we collect automatically. We collect some information about you automatically when you open and use our App, like your IP address, the type of device you use, screen size and resolution, the App’s metadata, type and version of your operating system your activity within the App, for example session start time and its duration, screen gestures, etc. This information is useful for us as it helps us get a better understanding of how you are using our App so that we can continue to provide the best experience possible.

Our App is intended to be used by organizations and businesses, as well as by you when you arrange or facilitate streaming of Video Content (as defined in the Terms). Where we provide an App to an organization (e.g., to your employer) that organization controls the information processed with the use of the App or by the App. The same is true when you arrange or facilitate streaming of Video Content. The organization that uses Faceter services or you when you arrange or facilitate streaming of Video Content, are the controller of the information, including any Video Content streamed as a result of their or your use of Faceter services. If this is the case:

  • this Policy does not apply to our interactions with you in relation to any Video Content, since in this context we act solely as a processor of your data on behalf of controller (e.g. the organization or you as a user of Faceter services);
  • we are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of the controller, which may be different than this Policy; and
  • please direct your data privacy questions and requests to that organization, as your use of the App is subject to that organization's policies, or you shall set out your own privacy policy in case you are the controller.

2. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. It helps the web version of our App to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and other settings. That can make your next visit easier and the App more useful to you.

We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the web version of the App. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser help file directions. Session cookies are temporary and typically disappear after you close your browser.

We use our own cookies (first party cookies):

  • To remember your choice about cookies on the App.
  • To recognize you when you visit the App.
  • To remember your preferences.
  • To perform security measures.

In addition, we work with reputable companies who can use their cookies when you use the App (third party cookies). Third-party cookies are used, for example to count how many visitors we receive, to help us analyze how the App is used (Google Analytics and other analytics services’ cookies). We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the App. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the App, where visitors have come to the App from and the pages they visited.

As mentioned, we use Google Analytics, in particular, to collect App-specific usage data. Google Analytics collects only the anonymous information rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Data. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on the web browser you use to identify you as a unique user, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

You may be able to reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the App may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

We have done our best to provide you with clear and comprehensive information about our use of cookies. If you choose to use the App without blocking or disabling cookies, you will indicate your consent to our use of these cookies and to our use (in accordance with this Privacy Policy) of any Information that we collect using these technologies. If you do not consent to the use of cookies, please be sure to block or disable them using your browser settings, the opt-out links above, or the settings on your mobile device.
