What is a body video camera with a broad view? Presentation of new items

Body camcorders are a small and lightweight hybrid of a camera and a video player that records information and transfers it directly to storage. This device is already on the world market, but the broad view is a novelty. In this article, we will tell you what the camera principle is and where it is applied.

What does it look like? Weight, parameters

An all-round surveillance camera is attached to the neck and looks like an ordinary “plastic collar”, only with four mini-cameras with a wide view fixed in the corners.

The system can operate in frost and heat: from -20 ° C to + 60 ° C. The charge is supported by built-in rechargeable batteries, they are enough for 2 hours of operation. You can extend the service life by using external batteries; they give a charge for another 6 hours. The system’s weight is only 200 grams, so you will not feel it on the neck.

Operating principle 

Surround cameras are located on four sides, so they capture each direction. The system mustn’t create blind spots; the installed devices operate in a panoramic mode, covering 360 degrees, and stitch the resulting image from all four cameras.

The cameras shoot in Full HD quality, can work at night in low light, and record sound through the built-in microphone.

Video computing capabilities

Video surveillance is now following the multifunctional fashion. The systems are moving away from conventional surveying, adding all analytical calculations to their capabilities.

The 360-degree view device can recognize faces and give alarm signals based on the information received thanks to artificial intelligence. For example, the camera can react to a user running or falling.

Areas of use
